In its commitment to a sustainable future, Sasol is the proud sponsor of the South African Institution of Chemical Engineers (SAIChE) 2012 conference to be held in the Drakensberg later this year.
Sasol’s involvement in the conference is part of the group’s wider strategy of promoting science education and building competency in science and chemical engineering. Sasol Technology’s MD, Flip de Wet says, “SAIChE plays a significant role in enabling and advancing chemical engineering as a profession. Through skilled chemical engineers, Sasol is at the forefront of innovation and technology.”
The South African Institution of Chemical Engineers, SAIChE, which is the professional association to which most chemical engineers in South Africa belong and which represents the chemical engineering profession at the Engineering Council of South Africa, hosts its National Conference every three years.
This is the most prestigious conferencing opportunity in South Africa aimed specifically at chemical engineers and related professions.
SAIChE’s next conference, SAIChE 2012, is scheduled for 16 to 19 September 2012 and will be held at the Champagne Sports Resort Conferencing Venue, in the Central Drakensberg region of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa.
